Sprint is the fourth largest wireless network operator in the United States and serves approximately 60 million consumers. Sprint wanted to automate the ordering of phone and services via its retail stores and retail partners such as BestBuy, Walmart, and Target. The ongoing challenges in the telecommunication industry required a solution that is robust, flexible, and scalable enough to enable Sprint to customize it whenoffering services, contracts, and new devices on the market. At the same time, the order mechanism must integ rate with multiple systems at Sprint and its retail partners across the United States.
Information Experts approached this challenge in three phases: Build, integrate, operate. In the build phase, Information Experts focused on selecting a platform that would fully integrate with multiple systems. Once the technology was evaluated and selected, the tool was developed in house by Information Experts and tested with the Sprint infrastructure. During the integration phase, the team focused on automating the tool with the processes of each vendor within the retail partner network.
During the integration phase, Information Experts provided the solution to Sprint and supported the telecommunication giant in maintaining and upgrading the tool whenever needed. The team at Information Experts is responsible for content updates, system integration, and debugging. The solution enabled Sprint to grow its customer base and deliver its services in English and Spanish languages.
