Information Experts Begins Two Projects Worth $760k for USDA's Nutrient Data Laboratory

RESTON, VIRGINIA, February 8, 2007—Strategic communications firm Information Experts has been awarded an approximately $760k project to make critical updates to the Architecture and Integration Management_Nutrient Databank System (AIM_NDBS) of The Nutrient Data Laboratory (NDL) of The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

NDL’s nutrient database products, research, and services are used by virtually all state and federal agencies whose charters contain public food and health concerns, including metabolic and epidemiological research, dietary treatment of disease, dietary guidance for healthy individuals, and planning and implementation of national nutrition policy.

The AIM_NDBS, which has been in operation since 2000, recently converted from Client/Server protocol to a Web-Intranet-based environment.

“We’re excited to be involved in these important efforts,” said Adam Levin, Executive Vice President of Information Experts, “we know this work supports the understandings and actions of nutritional professionals all across the world.”
