Provide entry level Accounting assistance to the Finance & Accounting Manager. This is a growth opportunity for candidates who possess attention to detail and accuracy, a “can do” attitude, and the ability to communicate in a professional manner. This position requires 20-30 hours per week with flexibility to work additional hours, as needed.
Principal Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable and expense processing
Detailed reviews of receipts to ensure proper documentation with company policy and IRS code
Notification to General Ledger Accountant when expenses are ready to upload into the accounting system
Ensuring complete and timely receipt of all receipt packages from employees and maintaining orderly files for efficient retrieval
Assisting in Accounts Receivable
Ensuring accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
Reconciliation of daily deposits and general ledger accounts
Assisting Finance & Accounting Manager in month/year end close and audits
Troubleshoot system issues and work closely with IT department to resolve problems
Maintain ongoing communication with employees to address questions and resolve issues
Assist with policy revisions
Appropriate handling of confidential information at all times
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or related field preferred)
Experience in QuickBooks
Detail-oriented with analytic comprehension
High level of integrity
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team, as well as independently with self-direction
Prior experience with Accounts Payable preferred
