Accounting Coordinator

Position Profile:

Provide entry level Accounting assistance to the Finance & Accounting Manager. This is a growth opportunity for candidates who possess attention to detail and accuracy, a “can do” attitude, and the ability to communicate in a professional manner. This position requires 20-30 hours per week with flexibility to work additional hours, as needed.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable and expense processing
  • Detailed reviews of receipts to ensure proper documentation with company policy and IRS code
  • Notification to General Ledger Accountant when expenses are ready to upload into the accounting system
  • Ensuring complete and timely receipt of all receipt packages from employees and maintaining orderly files for efficient retrieval
  • Assisting in Accounts Receivable
  • Ensuring accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Reconciliation of daily deposits and general ledger accounts
  • Assisting Finance & Accounting Manager in month/year end close and audits
  • Troubleshoot system issues and work closely with IT department to resolve problems
  • Maintain ongoing communication with employees to address questions and resolve issues
  • Assist with policy revisions
  • Appropriate handling of confidential information at all times

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or related field preferred)
  • Experience in QuickBooks
  • Detail-oriented with analytic comprehension
  • High level of integrity
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team, as well as independently with self-direction
  • Prior experience with Accounts Payable preferred
