Human Capital Project Manager

Position Profile:

This position is much more than a project leader -- it is the position at Information Experts that is responsible for ensuring client satisfaction, maintaining client relationships and generating additional business development. The Project Manager is Information Experts’ first contact point with the client and is responsible for establishing Information Experts’ credibility and developing the strategic human capital solutions for the client. These solutions are the blueprints for the Information Experts’ implementation team.

Principal Responsibilities:

Be an Information Expert demonstrating our core values and commitment to our clients:

  • Identify a client’s touch points and evaluate their information needs; develop human capital solutions for organizational transitions, programs and initiatives; develop multi-faceted human capital plans that incorporate a variety of disciplines (e.g., HCM strategic services, new hire processes, performance support and organizational change, to name a few)
  • Manage multiple smaller engagements, or manage a larger one, to develop a variety of human capital strategies
  • Direct and coordinate specific deliverables, the overall project plan, budget, schedule, and staffing requirements
  • Manage fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources management of projects
  • Assist with sales efforts in new and existing accounts; develop proposals
  • Provide day-to-day technical and professional guidance and leadership
  • Oversee planning, development, piloting, and implementation of projects to ensure timely deliverables, project success and quality
  • Assist in the identification, assessment and resolution of issues and problems
  • Ensure high quality deliverables are produced while working within budget and meeting deadlines

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of leading outstanding projects using project management standards and processes
  • Strong knowledge of several human capital disciplines (e.g., training; organizational development; change management; recruitment/retention, performance support)
  • Ability to design, develop and implement human capital strategies to address client challenges and issues
  • Excellent ability to maintain positive and cooperative working relations with team and clients
  • Extremely well-developed communication and presentation skills; proven ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking and writing so others will understand
  • Demonstrated knowledge of government proposal development and management
  • Must have superior judgment and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a remote work team
  • Strong ability to use project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project)
  • Must be able to effectively multi-task, organize and prioritize work, and resolve issues

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, Communications, or related field; Masters degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience, 3+ years of progressive experience in a project management role working with external clients
  • Demonstrated experience as a mentor, coach or direct manager of team members (other employees and/or subcontractors)
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Experience with management, negotiation and administration of government contracts
  • Experience with managing company and third party vendor relationships
  • Must be able to provide samples of project work
